Son in law asked if I knew how to work out vat content.
I did not tell him how I quickly found out the answer.
He thinks I am a mathematical genius, having given an answer in 15 minutes.

Thank you for being considerate and helping the nation out. Though my company accounts are computerised there are still things I have to work out manually. I was struggling to figure out how to seperate my standard VAT from my zero rated on my credit cards statements and then work out the difference. The same as others I always used the X7/47 method. That girlfriend should hold on to you!
